Room 320, Tuesday Afternoon
Sep. 16th, 2008 11:31 amAnyone who knew Sam well, or who had gotten used to seeing him going in and out of room 328 over the last two years, might have been surprised to see him moving all of his things into room 320 over the course of the morning.
The fact was, everything in Sam's old room reminded him of Dawn, and made him think about what he'd done to her and how sometimes he was, as Rikku had put it, pathetic. And maybe he didn't deserve to put all of that behind him, but that didn't mean that Peter or anyone else should have to deal with it.
So, Sam had put in for a room change, and shuffled everything down four doors. He arranged the room a little differently since he had the space to himself, giving Scout plenty of floor space for his bed and his toys. Not that he expected Scout to sleep anywhere but the unoccupied bed; he was rather spoiled that way, after all. Once everything was out of his old room and at least sitting in his new room - he still needed to figure out how he was going to arrange all of his books - Sam went ahead and started setting up protections around the window and door. Having done it so many times before, it was a nice, almost mindless distraction.
[Door and post open. He's muttering Latin and holding a knife, so take that as you will. :)]
