Room 320, Thursday Evening

Sam had managed to get in and out of the sex shop without too much personal mortification, but it had taken him a little while longer to figure out how to surprise Peter without embarrassing himself all over again. Thankfully, Scout needed walking, and Peter had proven before that he didn't mind doing it. While they were out, Sam took the time to clean the room a little, put on some soft music, and hope that Peter ended up liking what he'd planned.

Peter didn't mind walking Scout. It allowed bonding time with the dog, and Peter considered that a good thing.

He took his time, letting himself and Scout enjoy the fresh air, before eventually making his way back to his room with Sam.

When he heard what sounded like someone coming in, Sam shot over to the bed and sat down, trying to look like he'd been relaxing.

Peter didn't notice anything different at first, though he was busy making sure to close the door behind him before taking Scout off of his leash. "Hey. Miss me?"

"Very much," Sam said, making himself relax a little more. "Did you guys have a good walk?"

"Very good," Peter said. "We had a great conversation about life. He's got some amazing insights."

"Talking to dogs? Is that a new skill of yours?" Sam asked, getting up and going over to Peter to try to take his hands.

Peter was happy to hang on to Sam in any capacity. "It's not about talking, it's about listening."

"Well, you definitely have listening down well," Sam said, giving Peter's hands a squeeze. "I should know, after the last few months."

"I like listening to you," Peter said. "It's no hardship."

"Still, it takes a lot of effort, and time," Sam said. "It feels like you've been spending all your time lately taking care of me, and while I definitely appreciate it, it doesn't seem fair."

"I love you," Peter said. "It's entirely fair."

"I love you too. That's why I want to make up for everything you've been doing," Sam said with a smile, using his hold on Peter's hands to try to pull him back towards the bed. "If you'll let me, that is."

Peter grinned at Sam as he followed along. "Does it involve being on the bed with you? Because if it does then I might just be okay with it."

"It sort of involves being on the bed with me," Sam said, laughing. "I got some stuff for, um, a massage. And then anything you want after that. I thought it would be nice to spend the evening taking care of you for once."

"A massage from my boyfriend?" Peter asked. "That does sound nice."

Sam relaxed visibly now that he knew Peter liked the idea too, and gave his hands another squeeze. "You're going to have to take your shirt off then," he said. He couldn't help if that came out sounding anticipatory.

"I'm gonna need my hands back," Peter said, lightly teasing. "'cause I don't think my TK's good enough for that kind of fine detail."

Sam laughed, and let Peter go, taking the opportunity to smooth his bedspread out, and get the massage oil he'd bought. "I won't make you practice tonight," he said.

"I appreciate that," Peter said. He stripped off his shirt, then spread his arms out in invitation. "Where do you want me?"

"Uh, go ahead and lay down on the bed," Sam said. "On your stomach, and I'll get your back."

"Sounds good." Peter made himself comfortable on the bed, stretching out on his stomach so Sam had plenty of room.

Sam had been fantasizing about this ever since he'd gone shopping, but to have Peter actually spread out in front of him was better than anything his brain could have conjured up. He rubbed his hands together to get them warmed up as he sat down next to Peter on the bed, and then applied the oil and started at Peter's shoulders.

Peter groaned as Sam hit tense spots Peter hadn't even known he had. "That's good."

"Feels good to me too," Sam teased. As he worked at the tense spots, he slowly moved down along Peter's back, and after a moment of hesitation, he started kissing where his hands had been.

Hey, look at that, it did taste fruity.

"That feels even better," Peter told him.

"So, you don't want me to stop?" Sam teased, kissing a little harder as he made sure no knot was left untouched.

"Stopping would be the last thing I want you to do," Peter told him.

Sam grinned and kept up with the massaging, trying to make Peter feel as good physically as he'd made Sam feel emotionally. He'd be crazy right now without Peter, and he wanted to make sure Peter knew that Sam would take care of him too.

Peter made contented sounds. "Keep this up and I'll ask you to do it again."

"I would gladly do this again," Sam replied. "I want to make you feel good, Peter."

"You usually do," Peter said. "In case you were wondering."

"As good as you try to make me feel?" Sam asked. "I don't ever want you to feel like I'm using you, or like I won't take care of you if you need it."

"I know that," Peter said. He turned just enough to look at Sam. "If I needed something you'd be one of the first people I'd turn to."

Sam grinned, looking more pleased than he had all night. "I love you," he said, leaning over to give Peter a kiss.

Peter would've replied that he loved Sam too, but that would've gotten in the way of the kissing.
