The Hallway Outside of the Principal's Office, All Day Friday

After Flight and Flying class yesterday, Sam had given a lot of thought to how he could keep people from going into Umbridge's office, and in the end, talking to them seemed like the best option, with physical force as a last resort. He might not have been the strongest person around, but he was certainly one of the tallest.

So, there he was in the hallway, a hopefully safe distance from Umbridge's office, ready to stop anyone who came by. Especially if they happened to live with him.

Hermione had been called down, and since she'd been expecting this the whole time Umbridge had been here, she was going to go. Sam even got a tiny little nervous smile as she approached.

"Hey Hermione," Sam said, moving to try to stand in front of her. "Where are you going?"

"I got caught doing something to Umbridge, so I'm going to go see her," she said simply. "Wish me luck." And she tried passing him on the side.

Which would be when Sam took a step to that side and stood in front of her again. "How about I wish you goodbye, as you turn around and go safely back to your room?"

Bel walked casually down the hall. No reason.

And Sam fell into step beside him. No reason either. "Hey," he said in greeting. "What's up?"

"Not much," Bel said. "Just taking a break from construction work, figured I'd take a look at things from the inside. See if there's any work that needs to be done." The way he was unconsciously opening and closing his fist may have indicated this wasn't entirely the case.

"Well, I can assure you that no work needs to be done in the principal's office, so you don't need to worry about going in there," he said. "Maybe you should check some of the classroom areas?"

Dean wandered casually down the hallway, looking like he had no particular purpose for being there.

He stopped short when he saw his brother. "Dude, you are so not going in there."

"I know I'm not," Sam replied, giving Dean a dirty look. "And neither are you."

"What, you think I'm crazy? Of course I'm not! Dad warned the entire class yesterday to stay away -- he's definitely got something brewing."

"Anakin gave us the same warning. And so did Vala, which isn't really like her. I think they might all be up to something, and I really hope it's the same something for everyone."

"'Scuse me," a tall blonde girl said as she approached Sam. "I need through."

"Whoa, wait," Sam replied, putting his hands out to try to stop her. "What do you need to get through for?"

"I want to see the crazy lady," Jenny explained slowly, as if speaking to someone not terribly bright.

"I'm sorry," Sam replied, "but I can't let you do that."

Rikku had promised she would be good, and not poke the crazy lady. Who she was increasingly convinced was unstable and insane and sadistic and going to kill someone sooner or later, and it looked like sooner.

And Rikku was supposed to leave town this afternoon with her way-awesome boyfriend for a trip to Toronto. Which meant she should be packing right now.

Umbridge called Hermione to the office this morning. And Umbridge tried to kill Deadpool. And Umbridge had been carving up her friends for the past few weeks. And ...

Rikku stopped at the weapons locker first for her Godhand and her explosives. Damn her promises. She had something to take care of.

Sam was still standing quietly in the hallway, leaning against the wall, but he straightened up when he saw Rikku approaching. "Hey Rikku," he said, trying to sound casual. "What are you doing?"

Rikku stopped short, then nodded to Sam. "I'm gonna stop that bitch before she kills somebody," she said conversationally. "Wanna help?"

Savannah was walking towards the office when she saw... Sam. Oh hell. He would know that she had heard at least two of the teachers say to stay away, but she *did* have a real reason to kick the shit out of the Beastie.

Sam had in fact heard the teachers saying to stay away. "Hey Savannah," he said conversationally. "What are you doing here?"

Savannah sighed. "I don't suppose you would believe me if I said I was just out for a walk and happened to be in the neighborhood?"

Billy, surprisingly enough to himself, was not on his way to Umbrage's office. There were many things he'd like to say to her. Calmly even, but he felt he'd already won. But his route took him near enough that it might appear that he was heading that way.

"Hey Billy," Sam replied, trying to decide whether or not he'd need coercion to stay away from the office. "I'm doing a bit of a patrol. How are you?"

"Not bad, pretty good actually. Is she staying in her office?" He thought Sam was keeping an eye on Umbrage as like, an early warning system.
